Congratulations to the eco club members for helping us to achieve our Silver Eco School Award.
About us
Mrs Dean runs Eco-Club which has Key Stage 2 members. We meet every Friday lunchtime and our aim is to ensure our school is being as environmentally friendly as we possibly can. We have a great team of year 3 and 4 children that have a rota of jobs that they do each lunchtime.
The jobs include:
- Collecting compost for the compost bins.
- Paper collection for recycling
- Turning lights off around the school during lunchtime.
Here is a picture of just a few of the vegtables harvested from our vegtable patch. We also dug up a good crop of potatoes and many other vegtables. Well done to all the eco-club members for watering and caring for the garden.

Bronze Award
We have achieved our Bronze Award. We completed an Environmental Review of our school and from that we thought of 4 targets to for our Action Plan. We successfully implemented the following:
- Ask for the tap in Year 2 to be fixed
- Collect rainwater
- Encourage birds to visit and feed
- Encourage insects
