Danes and Puddlebridge classes enjoyed an exciting day at the Natural History Museum to enrich our geographical learning. We began the day exploring different areas of the museum before heading to the ‘Emergency! Earthquakes and Volcanoes Show’ to delve deeper into our geography topic ‘Extreme Earth’; the show entertained and engaged us from start to finish.

After a quick stop for lunch, we made our way to the Volcanoes and Earthquakes zone. Here we saw lots of interesting artifacts such as lava bombs, volcanic glass hair, and crystals created under intense pressure beneath Earth’s surface as well as interactive resources to understand these natural disasters more. A particular highlight was the earthquake simulator, showing what it was like during the 1995 Kobe, Japan earthquake.
What a great day we had!
