In DT, we have been making bread. We began by sampling some different breads from around the world. We compared their taste, their texture and their appearance. Some of our favourites included Greek flatbread and naan bread. Some of us weren’t so keen on the rye bread!
Making our bread also supported our recent learning in science about irreversible changes. We learnt how to make the dough and then knead it. Next, we added our chosen ingredients – cheese, banana, tomato or garlic and herb. After that, our bread rolls were left to rise before going into the oven. Finally, we took them home to enjoy!
