Earlier in the term, our English learning was based upon ‘Oliver Twist’ by Charles Dickens. With the eponymous character, Oliver, starting his life in a workhouse, we decided to look at poetry with similar themes.
Please enjoy our class recital of ‘Paupers Wood’ by William Barton.

To help us learn the poem off by heart, we took a couple of trips to the park – a change of scene can really help the learning to stick!
