We love being challenged in maths!
To begin our maths learning in Danes, we are enjoying ‘A Week of Inspirational Maths’ which includes learning all about the importance of understanding how our brains work, how important it is to make mistakes and to challenge ourselves. Having a growth mindset is important if we are to make the best possible progress. Each day, we are enjoying different investigations which we are working on together.
After our very first lesson, there was lots of positive feedback. One child wrote:
‘I found this lesson really fun! I looked at it like a mystery – you work out the lock on the door and there is a key to find your answer. When you find that key, you unlock a new level of learning. That is how you develop confidence.’
