Natural History Museum

We had a fantastic day at the Natural History Museum. Our visit supported our learning in both Geography (Extreme Earth -Volcanoes and Earthquakes) and Science (Evolution and Inheritance).

We started our visit by attending the ‘Emergency! Earthquakes and Volcanoes’ show. Eddie, our presenter, taught us so much more to build upon the learning we had already done in school. Later, we visited several of the galleries, In the Fossil gallery we saw many of the amazing finds of Mary Anning – we had learnt all about her during our English lessons as we enjoyed reading ‘Stone Girl Bone Girl’ and writing across a range of genres – diaries, letters, biographies and autobiographies.

Our learning means so much more when cross-curricular links are made.
