In Danes Class this week, we have been busy developing our sewing skills, showing fantastic creativity and attention to detail throughout the pencil cases project. We began by learning and practising different embroidery techniques as well as getting to grips with the sewing machine functions. After this, we were ready to think about a design for our pencil cases and get to work making them. We successfully inserted zips, carefully assembled and lined our designs – this required great precision and perseverance. We are very proud of our finished products; they are a wonderful showcase of our growing textiles skills and craftsmanship and are now being put to good use at school!
