Brilliant Boggarts! Forest School

Haffydown had a fantastic time in Forest School, getting creative, muddy, and a little bit magical as they made their very own boggarts!

For those who don’t know, boggarts are cheeky little woodland creatures from old folklore — said to live in forests, under bridges, or in dark corners of homes. No two boggarts look the same, so it was the perfect excuse for our children to let their imaginations run wild!

Armed with mud, sticks, leaves, flowers, feathers, and anything else they could find in nature, the children set about crafting their own boggart faces on tree trunks and logs. Some were smiley, some were grumpy, and some were downright spooky — each one showing off the maker’s unique ideas about what a boggart might look like.

It was a wonderful session full of teamwork, sharing, and creativity. The children worked together, swapping materials, giving each other ideas, and helping to bring their muddy masterpieces to life. There was plenty of laughter, a bit of good-natured mess, and a whole lot of fresh air fun.

Forest School is such a special part of our curriculum — it gives everyone a chance to connect with nature, use their imaginations, and enjoy the simple pleasure of being outside. And judging by the proud faces (and muddy hands) at the end of the session, Haffydown had a brilliant time!

Well done everyone — the boggarts would definitely be impressed!
