In art we have been using autumn leaves as our inspiration to explore different drawing techniques. Firstly, we collected our favourite leaves and copied them carefully. We had to pay close attention to the use of line, shape and visual texture.
The following lesson, we explored different techniques when working with pastels.
Next, we applied these skills to draw and colour our own autumn leaves.
Last of all, we learnt a simple printing technique using a printing block. We used pencils to scratch in our designs and overlaid the images to create repeated pictures.
