Autumn!

We have been enjoying exploring Autumn. We have been collecting objects which show that the season has moved into Autumn now. We have been using these items in our child-initiated learning to create pictures, rubbings and patterns.

We read ‘Leaf man’ by Lois Ehlert to inspire us to make some lovely transient art.
We have been exploring leaves by using crayons to make leaf rubbings. We have used lots of interesting vocabulary to describe the leaves.

We made some leaf necklaces by hole punching and then threading the leaves. We found some number punches and had a go at decorating our leaves by punching some numbers. They looked brilliant!

We have collected many different coloured leaves around the school grounds. We have used some colour matching charts to explore colour matching and really see how many wonderful colours there are in God’s natural wordl!
