As part of our fairy tale topic we read the story of ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’. We really enjoyed this story and thought a lot about the bridge that the goats would have to cross. We were really excited to be able to invite a real bridge designer into school to talk to us about how bridges are made.
We were allowed to choose any construction material that we wanted to use. We also had the freedom to work on our own, in pairs or in small groups. We were very engrossed in our bridge building and at the end of the day we had a lot of amazing bridges to show. Some of us have already decided that engineering looks like a very interesting job!
