We have been really enjoying learning all about superheroes! We focussed on our core texts of ‘Supertato’ by Sue Hendra and ‘Real Superheroes’ by Julia Seal.
We loved creating our own superheroes characters and designed ourselves masks and capes. We thought about what kinds of powers we would like to have and created our own super names using alliteration.
We have been using our superheroes during Child Initiated Learning to smash the ice in the garden.
We have been doing a lot of writing, especially writing speech bubbles for each character.
We were really proud of our super veggie and villains. We used our physical development skills to create our characters and then used them to create animations.
To make sure that we didn’t waste any food, we decided after we had finished to make vegetable soup. We used safety knives to cut the vegetables up and cooked and then tried our soup!
