We have been reading one of our favourite books ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson. We have created a 3D story maps to help us to retell the story. We also created actions that helped us to retell the whole story using the story language from the book. We made story sticks to help us to remember the order in which the characters appear in the story. We used our phonics knowledge to label pictures of the Gruffalo with the initial letter sounds.
During Forest School we worked as a team to make a house for each of the characters. It was good to think about the types of houses they had in the book.
