English – Play Scripts

We are having great fun in Haffydown learning about the features of play scripts. We have compared versions of Alice in Wonderland to discuss how dialogue is presented differently in narrative and plays. We have recorded our own interpretations of The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, focusing in particular on characterization. We have turned play scripts into narrative using inverted commas and poems into play scripts using the different features we have learnt. Lastly, we are building towards writing our own scene for a movie based on The Dish and The Spoon by Mini Grey where we will bring the characters to life through stage directions and dialogue.
