In order to round off our ‘Brave and Beautiful Britain’ topic, we had a whole day of Design and Technology in which we designed, built, and tested our very own WWII planes. We had lots of ideas about how the wings and tail should look having visited Duxford Imperial War Museum and seen lots of planes. We were able to apply our scientific learning about electrical circuits in order to ensure the propellor spun in the right direction to propel the plane.
