Fly, Eagle, Fly! – Spring Term 2 – 2023

This half term, we have read Fly, Eagle, Fly!, a traditional African parable retold by Christopher Gregorowski. As part of our learning, we listened to a speech by Archbishop Desmond Tutu where he talks about the parable and inspires others to fly towards goodness and compassion. We wrote our own hopes for the future, focusing on the kinds of people we want to be. They are displayed in our classroom as part of a dreamcatcher.

We finished the unit of work by writing and publishing our own retellings of the story. We organised our writing into paragraphs and thought carefully about our sentence structure.
