This year we celebrated harvest altogether which was wonderful. Reverend Angela lead the service and the choir sang ‘Glory Hallelujah’ to the whole school.
We collected so much food that it spread all the way across the hall!
Year 6 lead us in some prayers:
Dear God,
Thank you for the food we have. Thank you for sending the sun and the rain to help crops grow. Thank you for farmers who grow and harvest the food. Thank you for people who work in the shops where we buy our food from.Thank you for grown ups who cook us delicious meals.WE think about people in the world whodon’t always have enough to eat. We pray that these people won’t be hungry anymore.

This year we are continuing to support the local food bank called ‘The foodshed’ with our donations. They were amazed at the amount of food collected by our small school and know that he has helped to replenish the food stores at the food bank. Some of our year 6 children are excited to go and help sort some of the food for distribution.
All of the food delivered safely to the foodbank where it will be given to people in our community who are in need.
