Every year children from Shackadell and Danes are paired up as buddies. We have had such a wonderful year together, playing, enjoying our lunches together and having weekly buddy reading sessions. The children in Danes class are brilliant at taking care of the children in Shackadell, and genuine friendships have been developed over the year. Many of the buddies have made and delivered gifts and cards to one another to show how much they appreciate each other. We know that these relationships will last even when the older children leave school at the end of this year!
