Our Trip to Whipsnade Zoo – 20th June 2018

What a fantastic day Danes class had at Whipsnade Zoo! In class we are learning about classification so we had a workshop session called ‘Fur, Feather and Scales’ in which we learnt all about the classification of vertebrates. In geography our focus is the Chiltern Hills; we were able to enjoy a fantastic view across the Chilterns as well as getting as close as we could to the chalk lion. A road diversion en route to the zoo meant that we also got to see the lion from the road below. Our day also included visiting many of the animals including giraffes, hippos, bears, penguins and many more. We had fun in the playground, ate ice creams and even took a trip on the train – in addition to walking over 5 miles! As usual Danes class were wonderful throughout.
