Lines of enquiry in Year Two, encourage children to link physical and human geographical themes. They begin to explore and enquire how human actions can impact the physical environment both positively and negatively. The start to recognise how this can cause conflict and recognise differences in opinion. They begin to formulate and justify their own opinions about how the environment should be used. This can be seen in the example below where a child is exploring how humans can use the rainforest.
