In our recent Design and Technology sessions, we’ve been diving into the world of cam toys! We kicked things off by learning that cams rotate on an axle while making a follower go up and down. We considered how the shape of the cam affects the movement and learned that if the follower is off-centre, it will rotate. We then designed and built our own cam toys. It took some serious focus and careful work, but we have all created a cam toy that we are really proud of.
