We have been learning about the lifecycle of butterflies and as part of that we have been really interested in symmetry. During our forest school session we went out into the school grounds and found lots of natural objects that we could used as transient art to make butterflies. Our butterflies were beautiful and very symmetrical.
Some of the children wanted to experiment further with symmetry and so we used numicon and some boards which have a line of symmetry.
