Sports Funding

At Aston St Mary’s Church of England (VA) Primary School, our pupils enjoy Physical Education (PE).  Our pupils are active and participate daily in exercise, for example, the Daily Mile.  We work closely with our specialist sports providers, Rising Stars, to provide a range of sports for our pupils and excellent CPD for our teaching staff. 

The government provide schools with PE and sport funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer.

To improve PE provision and sport in schools the government has allocated money to all primary schools. The money is ring-fenced for PE and sport, however, schools are free to choose how they spend their allocation.
