Since September 2014 the New National Curriculum is now being taught in all maintained primary schools. However, pupils who entered Year 2 and 6 in September 2014 will continue to be taught the current programmes of study for primary English, Maths and Science in the 2014 to 2015 academic year, to allow for statutory end-of-key- stage assessments in summer 2015.
Exciting school trips are also planned, which all children attend, to enhance our pupils’ curriculum knowledge and understanding, as well as develop their independence and PSHE skills. Recent trips have included visits to: Willows Farm, Harry Potter Tours, Sea-side trips and Wicksteed Park. A residential trip for year 5 and 6 takes place every two years.
