In Science, we are learning about electrical circuits. We have enjoyed our beginning this learning sequence by building circuits using different components (batteries, bulbs, motors and buzzers) and representing these using circuit diagrams. Our very first challenge was to build a simple circuit using just a battery, a bulb and two wires. Without using a bulb holder (or battery holder), we had to think very carefully about exactly where to position the wires. The highlight of our second session was using motors to make spinners – it really was wonderful to observe the children’s engagement and enjoyment.
