Today, Danes Class enjoyed participating in the 2024 GoConstruct K’nex challenge. This is an engineering challenge involving around 180 schools across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. Led by our local STEM ambassador, the challenge involved using K’nex to construct a bulldozer with a moveable, pivoting scoop. We worked in pairs and had an hour to complete the challenge before presenting our model to the class. We were scored for different aspects of our work including teamwork, problem solving and design.
We had a fantastic morning and learnt so much! Aiden and Liam were delighted that their bulldozer was chosen as our class winner. A photo of their model will be judged against the winning designs from other schools.
