The Recycled Fashion Show 2024

YEAR 2 SCIENCE

Our unit on Materials began with us investigating properties and exploring the suitability of different materials, to discovering inventors of new materials and understanding the process of recycling. The facts we learnt about the wastage of materials globally shocked Year 2, so we set about transforming household recycling into something beautiful and useful. The result was a breath taking, recycled fashion show where Year 2 walked the catwalk to show off their creations. We had everything from bin bag dresses and tin foil cowboy hats, to cling film glasses and crisp packet outfits! Every child recorded an interview before the show to explain why they had used each material and which properties would make it suitable as that item of clothing. Please enjoy our videos below showcasing our fantastic efforts.
