K’Nex Challenge – April 2024

On Wednesday, Puddlebridge Class had lots of fun taking part in the 2024 GoConstruct K’nex challenge. This event, which involves around 180 schools from Hertfordshire and surrounding areas, is an exciting engineering competition. Under the guidance of our local STEM ambassador, we embarked on the task of constructing a K’nex bulldozer equipped with a functional, pivoting scoop. Working in pairs, we had a tight deadline of an hour to complete our creation before showcasing it to the class. Our efforts were evaluated based on criteria such as teamwork, problem-solving, and design.

Darcie and Bertie were overjoyed when their bulldozer was selected as the winner of our class. Now, a photo of their bulldozer will be judged against the top designs from other participating schools.
