Christingle

Today we celebrated in school with a Christingle service. We all came together throughout the morning to make our Christingles. We know that the orange represents the world and the sticks with fruit represent the seasons and the food that the earth produces for us. We also know that the candle represents Jesus the light of the world and the red ribbon represents His love for us.

We spent time together, praying, worshipping and then have a quiet reflective time lighting the candles. One child in year 6 had their candle lit and passed it either side of them, representing Jesus’ light being passed from person to person.
